If you create white papers, research papers, newsletters, or other documents that are judged by their appearance as well as their content, you need to know about Word's breaks and styles

Depending on how the paragraph style is configured your copy of Word, pressing Enter to separate a line of text from other elements (like a picture, salutation block, or bulleted list) can result in too much space. Instead, use the Text Wrapping command in the Layout>Breaks menu. This command inserts a space that is typically narrower than a paragraph.
